The park is home to Ras Dashen, also known as Ras Dejen, the highest mountain in Ethiopia, reaching around 4,550 meters above sea level. For travelers who love trekking, camping, photography, and mountain adventure, Simien is one of the most powerful destinations in the country.

Day 1 – Flight to Gondar & Journey to Simien Mountains
Begin your adventure with a domestic flight from Addis Ababa to Gondar. Upon arrival in Gondar, meet your driver and continue by car toward Debark, the main gateway town to Simien Mountains National Park. After completing park arrangements, continue into the mountains for your first scenic experience.

Day 2 – Trekking, Wildlife & Mountain Viewpoints
Today is dedicated to the wild beauty of the Simien Mountains. After breakfast, begin a guided trekking experience through dramatic highland landscapes, open grasslands, rocky ridges, and deep escarpments.
Experiences: Morning trekking inside Simien Mountains National Park, dramatic escarpment viewpoints, Gelada baboons in their natural habitat, search for Walia ibex and highland birds, waterfalls or scenic viewpoints depending on route, photography stops across valleys and cliffs, and learning about the park’s geology, wildlife, and conservation story.

Day 3 – Final Mountain Experience & Return to Addis Ababa
