I'll Take You to the Place That Changed Me

I'll Take You to the Place & That Changed Me

Traveling through Ethiopia changed me. It changed the way I see people, the way I see nature, and the way I understand the world. It taught me that life is too big and too beautiful for us to stay in one place forever. We are meant to explore, to connect, and to be moved by what we find. And through all of that, one thing became even more real to me: Ethiopian people are some of the sweetest souls you will ever meet.

But if there is one place that completely stole my heart from the very first moment I saw it, it is Chebera Churchura National Park. Located on the western side of the central Omo-Gibe Basin, between Dawro Zone and Konta Special Woreda in southwestern Ethiopia, it is a place of deep forest, rich wildlife, and breathtaking natural beauty.

Chebera was also the place where I first saw elephants and hippos, where I hiked deep into the forest, and where I felt at home in a way I cannot fully explain.

From my very first visit, I made a promise to myself that one day I would live there and spend the rest of my life close to that feeling. Until that day comes, I return to what feels like home two or three times a year.. and I have been doing that for the past five years.

Chebera did not just impress me. It changed me. It made me feel alive. And that is why I want to take you there... not only to see it, but to feel it.
